Jami is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She has a BA in Psychology and an MA in Professional Counseling from Texas State University. She has completed Level 2 training in Gottman Method Couples Therapy, and is a Gottman Leader of the Seven Principles Couples Program and Prepare/Enrich Certified Facilitator. Her specializations include couples, parents, and individuals (15 years and up) experiencing life transitions or challenges in their relationships. Her areas of interest include trust recovery, influence of military or police careers on relationships, premarital couples, and gridlock. Jami enjoys helping people recognize and reach their full potential. Her counseling style uses humor and collaboration with each person's goals, interests, and efforts. Her clients get to see occasional tails and snouts on screen while meeting virtually courtesy of her two pups. When not in her office, she is often found watching police procedural shows, spending time with family and friends, and daydreaming about finishing her novel.
