Colby Nguyen, M.S.
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - Associate
supervised by Kim Fry, MS, LMFT-S
I enjoy helping individuals, couples, and families build stronger, healthier relationships and navigate the challenges that come with change, conflict, and growth. My work often focuses on improving communication, rebuilding trust, and helping partners understand and respond to each other more effectively. Whether you are navigating relationship stress, family transitions, or personal challenges, therapy offers a space to slow down, gain clarity, and reconnect with what matters most.
My approach is active, collaborative, and rooted in connection. I integrate principles from the Gottman Method, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and systemic models such as Strategic and Structural Therapy. Together, we’ll explore patterns that keep you stuck and develop new ways of interacting that strengthen your relationship and sense of self.
I received my M.S. in Couple, Marriage, and Family Therapy from Texas Tech University and my B.S. in Human Development and Family Sciences from the University of Texas at Austin. My clinical experience includes working with individuals, couples, and families navigating life transitions, communication issues, and relational conflict.
Outside of therapy, I enjoy jogging around Lady Bird Lake, exploring local coffee shops, and lifting at the gym. I love Austin’s creative energy and am passionate about helping others build relationships that feel grounded, authentic, and fulfilling.
