Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to share any personal information?
We do not require you to share any personal information, or disclose your name to the other attendees. This workshop is educational, and all activities will be completed between you and your partner.
Do I need to bring my partner, or can I come on my own?
Friends, couples, and singles are welcome to attend this workshop.
Do I need to be in therapy to attend?
No! Many who attend our workshops have never been to therapy, or are considering going to therapy. It is a great way to test what it would be like to try couples therapy, and often people do go on to start therapy, but it is not necessary. The Seven Principles workshop is a great way to learn and grow in your relationships in a half-day setting facilitated by licensed therapists.
Is this workshop a replacement for couples therapy?
This workshop is psycho-educational, and is not therapy. However, for those who are seeking to strengthen their relationship, build better communication skills, foster more understanding in their relationships, or who don't have the time to commit to regular therapy sessions, this workshop can be a great alternative to therapy.
It is important to note, however, that our facilitators will not be working on specific, individual issues; rather they will be providing the tools needed to co-create a successful relationship.
Will you provide food?
The Center for Relationships will not be providing food or beverages at this event.
